Hoping the title might already have you humming,
but I'm grabbing a few things I found
and mashing them all up for you!

Here's hoping it makes your Wednesday better ...

Give me a quiet life.

One where I can hear the trees rustling in the wind,

raindrops on the windows, waves kissing the shoreline,

the pages of a book being turned, coffee being brewed,

the gentle laughter and the heartbeats of the ones I love.

And as for those that have passed ... they do not vanish ...

they live quietly within us.

Their laughter and lessons find a home in our choices,

their gifted guidance lights a path for our steps,

their warmth lingers in the kindness we offer.

Death may take their presence,

but their spirit shapes the person we continue to become.

And as we face each new day remember ...

that mornings are for fresh starts,

evenings are for soft landings,

and in between ...

we simply try to do our best.
