Kindness

Found this and truly needed to share it.

One day, a stranger will remember you.
Not your name - they lost that years ago.
They'll remember that you
let them go first on a terrible day.
That you told a tired cashier
to take her time.
That you said,
"you're doing better than you think"
to someone who was
about to silently give up.
You will never know
which of your smallest kindnesses
is still alive in someone's memory,
still doing it's quiet work.
That's the secret;
none of it disappears.
Kindness has no funeral.
It just keeps living in people,
long after you've walked away.

The two lines that truly made me pause ...

none of it disappears

kindness has no funeral
