Catering

Well, yes, we are foodies,
but some will understand that this
has nothing to do with eating.
Catering is a wonderful thing.
Lots of folks need to dine on
what you're cooking.
Be careful, though,
not to change the menu
for every person.
You'll lose sight of
your real delectability.
You cannot feed everyone.
Some folks don't like that style.
Some folks don't want that meat.
Some folks don't eat their veggies.
And don't get me started on sauces.
Remain true to your roots.
Cook from your heart
and you'll never make a bad meal
for any one!

but cling to consistency.
It's very interesting.
Here's my take . . .
Change really IS good -
when it benefits what is happening
around/to you, your environment,
and is positive.
Consistency is REALLY good -
as it is how you respond
to change.
I am a positive person.
I am in an eternal search
for silver linings.
I am a half-full, choose happy
kind of human being.
Things may throw me off kilter,
but I always find my center.
I am a Weeble.
You can push me, throw me,
knock me over . . .
but I will always find my way
to standing upright . . .
and smiling.

Be the Good Thing

There are very many times in life
when we are dumbfounded
by choices
by decisions
by happenings
by life.
We are sad and shocked
and angry and hurt
and bitter and resentful
and lost and alone.
What is imperative
for us to understand
is that sometimes
the reason good things
aren't happening to us
is because
we need to be the good things
that happen to someone else.
Our strength and our resolve,
our passion and persistence,
our consistent kindness,
our reactions are paramount.
You never know who you are inspiring.
