Imagine

This was actually written regarding your pet . . .

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader.
He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.

but imagine if we actually applied this to other human beings.

Just imagine

Wings

When you are pushed to the edge . . . jump!
God will either catch you or teach you to use your wings!
You were born with such amazing potential.
You were born with goodness and trust and talent and greatness.
You were born with wings.
Soar!

Revenge

is truly a waste of time.
It only serves to fritter away your efforts on something or someone who adds no value to your life.
Instead . . . live! Be happy! Enjoy yourself!

Focus your intentions and your endeavors on something positive and productive.
You'll be amazed at all the good that comes of it.
You'll realize that that thing or that person really has no control over you.
You'll figure out that pointing your shoes in a different direction will take you places you never imagined.
You'll understand that YOU are in charge of how you feel. No one else.
And . . . you'll be in awe of how doing good can change your whole world.

Leave your baggage at the door.
Find your happy place and go live.
Revenge is NOT a dish best served cold.
It is a dish best left burnt and in the trash.
NEXT!

What you sow . . .

A tree is known by its fruit;
a man by his deeds.
A good deed is never lost.
He who sows courtesy reaps friendship;
and he who plants kindness gathers love.
Some will grumble that roses have thorns.
I am thankful that thorns have roses.

Make the world what YOU need it to be.

Free at last

I will always try, with all I am, to see the positive in all things.
Yesterday, a young girl lost her battle with a horrible disease.
She fought for a long time.
She suffered much.
She brought a harsh reality to many folks whose children are battling the same disease.
It was a sad day.
And we will mourn the loss of Kennedy.
But we must also celebrate the life of Kennedy.
Hers was a life that was full of triumphs as well as battles.
Victories as well as setbacks.
Laughter as well as tears.
She touched many lives and continues to do so.
Take with you her spirit,
her joy,
her smile,
her enthusiasm.
She is in a far better place right now.
No more pain. No more prodding. No more poking.
She is free.
Free at last.

Home of the Free . . .

Because of the Brave!

Celebrating Memorial Day is not only an honor, it is a privilege.

Today we take a moment to remember all those souls who gave the ultimate sacrifice
in the name of freedom and for the sake of The United States of America.
We pay homage to the veterans and those that don the uniforms today.
We look with pride upon our flag knowing that it is stitched together with the very fabric of all those lives that came before us to maintain what we enjoy so frivolously.

Today, enjoy your bbq,
enjoy your backyard pool,
enjoy your day off
and your ability to be able to enjoy those things.
And find a way, today,
to thank a veteran;
to honor a fallen hero;
to thank those that are currently serving.

Their choice was not made lightly.
Their task is not easy.
Their efforts are for YOU!

Happy Memorial Day!

Go get it.

Life is a curious thing.
It does not always go the way we plan.
That does not mean it is bad.
It just means we need to alter our plan.
Your new journey is as grand as you choose to make it.
Why continue to look backward?
Your past is behind you for a reason.
Your future holds infinite possibilities and opportunities.
You need only let go of your fears and your angst
and move forward.
What lies in wait is amazing.
Go get it.

You are Top Shelf

Don't ever water yourself down,
or put yourself on the rocks,
because someone can't handle you at
100 proof!

Today is your day!

Your mountain is waiting.
Embrace the faith that every challenge surmounted by your energy;
every problem solved by your wisdom;
every soul stirred by your passion;
and every barrier to justice brought down by your determination
will ennoble your own life,
inspire others,
serve your country,
and explode outward the boundaries
of what is actually achievable.
And remember . . .
all the famous athletes, business tycoons, singers,
actors, authors, and celebrated achievers
have one thing in common:
They all began their journeys
when they were none of these!
Today is your day!

Center

Every now and again, it is vitally important to center yourself.
You need to move away from the drama.
Remove yourself from the chaos.
Take the clutter that is clogging your heart to the curb.
Surround yourself with only things that make you happy.
Fill your head with positive.
Stuff your heart with love and peace and kindness.
Go to a happy place.
Center yourself.
Focus on what makes you calm and serene.

I will be centering myself for a few days.
God bless.
Be well.
Go find your center!

Ch-Angels All Around

I write about doing the right thing.
I write about being positive.
I write about having a positive outlook no matter the situation.
I write about Angels who lift us up when we are low.

I find it humbling and heartwarming
to realize that what I write comes back to me
from friends and family when I need it most.

Thank you to my Ch-Angels,
who are always such special and wonderful people!
God bless you and keep you.

Thank you!

Puddles

A friend of mine posted some photos on line of her beautiful daughter playing in puddles during and after the recent deluge of rain.
This child was soaked to the bone and filthy, but had the biggest, cheese-eating grin on her face.

As a parent, we see this:
Those sneakers are going to take two days to dry.
I'll never get those socks clean ever again.
I'll have to turn the AC off or she'll catch pneumonia when she comes inside.
Now I'll have to do laundry. I can't leave soggy clothes just laying around.

And the child . . .
That was awesome!
Did you see how high I got some of those splashes?!
My shoes make super squishy noises!
If I stomp my feet, I can make puddles of my own!
That was a great way to cool off! It was so hot!

Perspective is everything.
Today, put aside the regiment, the order, the structure.
Go play in the puddles!

Levity . . . with a dash of truth

Always keep your words soft and sweet . . . in case you have to eat them.

If you can't be kind . . . please have the decency to be vague.

Certain people's sole purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others.

A truly happy person is the one who enjoys the scenery on a detour.

And finally,
We can learn a lot from crayons.
Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull.
Some have weird names, some are a little melted or broken,
and there is always a plethora of colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

B+

When we are no longer able to change a situation ~
we are challenged to change ourselves.
Be a positive change.
Spread love everywhere you go.
Let no one ever come to you
without leaving happier.
Be a positive impact on your world.
Never regret anything that has happened in your life.
It cannot be changed, undone or forgotten.
Make it a positive lesson, and move on!

A Ponderance

The real art of conversation is
not only to say the right thing at the right time,
but to leave unsaid the wrong thing
at the most tempting moment.

So much can be learned from these four little lines.
Sometimes, it is so much more powerful to simply walk away.

The best job EVER

This job forces you to gain weight.
This job may literally make you sick.
This job will change you physically, mentally, and emotionally.
This job will require more effort than you've ever expended before.
This job is 24/7/365.
This job requires you to work even when you're sick.
This job requires you to work when you're on vacation.
This job has no training manual.
This job has no trial period.
This job requires a life time commitment.
You will never make not one little penny.
You will never be promoted.
You will be paid in smiles.
Your bonuses will be hugs and laughter.
Your raises come in baby steps, first words, good grades, kind deeds, and stability.
Your stock is issued in morals, ethics, and great decisions.
Your pension is paid by giving your efforts to others.
And
You will wake up every day eager to be . . . somebody's MOM!

The best job EVER!

Find your happy place

Happiness cannot be travelled to, owned, earned, or won.
It is the spiritual experience of living every minute
with love, and grace, and gratitude.

There is no "or".
Let that sink in.

How beautiful

How beautiful a day can be when kindness touches it.
How beautiful a life can be when it is valued.
How beautiful a smile can be when it warms the heart of another.
How beautiful a world can be when love conquers all.

Go be beautiful.

All In

I'm all in.
It's not just about poker.

Whatever it is that you do . . .
go All In!

If you only run from your front door to the mail box,
you probably won't be winning any marathons.
If you're only doing twelve ounce curls,
you probably won't be Mr. Universe.
If you're pizza eating conflicts with your cardio,
you might not see the size you want for a while.

When you are in . . . go ALL in.
No matter whether you are a waitress or an astro-physicist,
a dog-walker or a brain surgeon,
a cashier or POTUS,
be the best that you can be.
No job, or task, or goal, or achievement is out of reach.

If you're All In . . .
anything is possible.

Gift of Love

To humbly give of your self, your time, your talents . . .
that is the Gift of Love.

To selflessly offer what you have, without regard to acknowledgement, reward, or reciprocation . . .
that is the Gift of Love.

To seek to assist another, simply because they need help . . .
that is the Gift of Love.

Today, I wish two things for you:
1.  That you find it within yourself to offer the Gift of Love.
2.  That you are blessed by the Gift of Love from the kindest of strangers.

Whole New World

Our time here is but a blink of an eye.
Spend it wisely . . .

You've got to accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
Latch on to the affirmative
Don't mess with Mr. In-Between

You've got to spread joy up to the maximum
Bring gloom down to the minimum
Have faith or pandemonium's
Liable to walk upon the scene

Don't let the sun go down on anger
Forgive those who have wronged you
Let go of the chaos you cannot control
Dream in the heavens of harmony
Wake in a Whole New World.

Meet my friend, Ray

Hi!
I'd like you to meet my friend, Ray.

His last name?
Ofhope!

He's a great guy! Very supportive.
These are some things that he has taught me.

Some days, you'll have to light the way,
and all you will have is my friend, Ray . . .
and that will be enough!

He says, "Have you ever tried and failed?
It is of no consequence.
Try again. Fail again.
Fail better."

He'd like you to know his wishes for you . . .
May all your walls know joy.
May every room hold laughter.
May every window open to infinite possibilities.

He is always available.
He is constant.
I like Ray.

Be the Encouragement

Be the Encouragement for someone else today.

Sometimes, it is only a simple nudge that someone might need to accomplish the greatest task they have ever set out to achieve.
Be that cheerleader.
Be that supporter.
Be that friend.
Be that person that pushes - but doesn't antagonize.
Be that person that urges - but doesn't taunt.
Be that person that celebrates every step along the way.

It does more than you know.
And, every now and again, you'll realize it is good for you as well.
A fulfilled heart and purpose is most rewarding.

Go . . .
Be the Encouragement!

NDP

Today is a National Day of Prayer.
To that end, here is a short story to emphasize that it does work, just maybe not always in the time frames and manner that WE choose.

Once, there were 3 trees on a hill in the woods.
The first tree shared a prayer. "Some day I hope to be a treasure chest, filled with gold and silver and precious gems. Everyone would see my beauty."
The second tree said, "Some day I will be a mighty ship. I will take kings and queens across the waters. Everyone will feel safe in me."
The third tree said, "I want to grow to be the tallest and straightest tree in the forest. People will see how big I am and think of the heavens and God and how close I've grown to them. People will always remember me."

Years later, some woodsmen came and upon cutting down the first tree said, "This looks like a strong tree. I'll sell it to a carpenter." The tree was happy. He knew he'd become a treasure chest.
While chopping down the second tree, the woodsman spoke, "This is a big and sturdy tree. I will sell it to the shipyard." The tree was thrilled. He knew was going to be a mighty ship.
The third tree worried as the woodsmen approached. He knew he'd never be the biggest if he was cut down. The woodsmen said, "I don't need anything special. I'll keep this one for myself."

The first tree arrived at the carpenter. He was made into a feed box for animals, filled with hay and put in a barn. This was not at all what he had prayed for.
The second tree was cut into a small fishing boat. No king carrying for him.
The third tree was cut into large pieces and left alone in the dark. Dreams dashed.

Years later, a man and woman came to the barn. She gave birth and they placed the baby in the hay in the feed box made from the first tree. The man wished he had a crib, but this manger would have to do. The tree realized he held the greatest treasure ever.
Some years after that, a group of men were in the fishing boat of the second tree. One of them grew tired and fell asleep. A great storm arose and the tree was worried about keeping his cargo safe. The sleeper awoke, he stood and said "Peace!" and the storm stopped. The tree knew he had carried the King of Kings.

Finally, someone came and got the third tree. It was carried through the streets as the people mocked the man who carried it. When they came to a stop, the man was nailed to the tree and raised in the air to die at the top of a hill. When Sunday came, the tree realized how close he was to God because Jesus was crucified on him.

We don't always get exactly what we pray for. That doesn't mean we don't get exactly what we prayed for.
