To seek the good.

Is to have lived.

Get up every morning
and remind yourself
"I can do this!"
Take a moment,

pause,

and truly appreciate

all the good.

Don't save anything

for a special occasion.

LIFE

is a special occasion;

because

when you stop

and look around,

it's all

pretty amazing.

A Lesson Worth Learning

The barbed posts and hurtful words
serve no real purpose.
Perhaps, when we learn forgiveness,
there may be real movement forward.
I'm just saying ...
(or rather he was)

Forgiving

does not erase the bitter past.

A healed memory

is not a deleted memory.

Instead,

forgiving what we cannot forget

creates a new way to remember.

We change

the memory of our past

into a hope

for our future.

Light

I am mashing a few things together, here,
to drive home a point.
Let's hope it works ...

Remember

that you carry a light 

inside you.

It is there ... all the time.

Even if only a fragile flicker.

Even in your darkest moment.

All that is required

is your gentle tending

of that flame.

Put your heart into it

as you would

for your dearest friend.

And find that friend

inside of you.

You were born

to light up this world.

As we celebrate this weekend,
with bar-b-que's and parties,
picnics and beach time,
let us pause to remember
that this is
The Land of the Free
Because of the Brave!

Class Warfare

Nope,
not that kind of class.
I'm hoping to start
a struggle
of its other definition.

Ann Landers once said:

... Class has nothing

to do with money.

Class never runs scared.

It is self-discipline and

self-knowledge.

It's the sure footedness

that comes with

having proved you can meet life.

Class is rooted within one's self.

Let us all be self-disciplined and self-knowing

and comfortable in that enough

to help the next one do the same.

Class Warfare can be a good thing.
