National Love People Day!

I was showered with bliss bombs yesterday.

Gifts that have already been sent out

on the pay-it-forward highway.

It is genuinely humbling and heartwarming

to receive a blessing

when you didn't even realize

how very much you could use one.

Get out there today

(and every day)

and love some people!

Do some kindness.

Share some love.

Lend a hand.

Offer hope.

Infuse

During a little meditation this morning,
one word kept coming up ...

infuse.

Infuse your heart space

with kindness.

Infuse your hands

with helpfulness.

Infuse your arms

with comfort and compassion.

Infuse your head

with hope and positivity.

Infuse yourself

with love

and you'll be able to become

what those around you need.

that I received and am sharing.

Hey there kids!
I'm back!

So, we celebrated what should have been our 30th anniversary,

but thanks to Covid, we celebrated our 33rd

with a Mediterranean cruise.

We truly were off the grid almost entirely

and were just able to enjoy

some extraordinary vistas, ports, and people.

To disconnect, recharge, and just unwind

was much needed and thoroughly enjoyed.

It was a long-awaited, much-deserved,

truly invigorating adventure.

Maybe you cannot go that far,

but go somewhere,

do something,

new and adventurous,

without the digital tethers

we all seem to be bound by.

Explore.

Live.

Get out there.

Look inside and live

I will be taking a brief hiatus.

I will, however, leave you with

this ...

The beauty of being lost

is the same thing

that makes it scary ...

we must look within ourselves

to find the way.

and ...

(although the first line is

definitely debatable ...

it is absolute in its entirety.)

No, we don't need more sleep.

It's our souls that are tired,

not our bodies.

the strongest of souls,

and bravest of hearts,

deserve to be reminded

they are valued for what they do,

and loved for everything they give.

police, medical,

to the average joes

on the streets and in the skies ...

we will Never Forget,

Nature and Nurture

When pondering nature,
there is a quote
that will always come up:

Take only pictures.

Leave only footprints.

Let's apply this

to our human landscape ...

Take only troubles.

Leave only heartprints.

We are here for such a short time;

and in reality,

we are just walking each other home.

Let us ease one another's sufferings

whenever we are able,

and leave folks better than we found 'em.

Thanks, kids, for putting up with my very brief hiatus.
I needed a little down time.

So, a little while ago, I shared what I woke up to,

but knew it wasn't done.

It finished itself over the long weekend.

Believe what you will,

but unless I am truly driven to write

by something larger than myself,

put this one beside the last one

and explain it to me.

I go where I am led, learning to listen,

and follow the gift I've been given.
