but I certainly am going to embellish!

Just because

someone carries it well,

doesn't mean it isn't heavy.

Just because

someone sings beautifully,

doesn't mean they aren't sad.

Just because

someone reaches out to everyone,

doesn't mean they aren't lonely.

Just because

someone finds joy everywhere,

doesn't mean they aren't lost.

Just because

someone carries it well,

doesn't mean it isn't heavy.

Be kind.

Be present.

Be nice.

Beautiful Messengers

Hubby bought me a beautiful gift last year.
Normally, he tries to get practical things that will be useful.
He came home with a set of Angel wings with the following verse:

Prayers are carried

on the wings of Angels.

If you sit and let that seep into your bones,

and know that praying isn't a ritual reserved for specific folks,

you'll know that your words,

your hopes,

your wishes,

your chatter of charity and concern for friends and family,

make their way to the Heavens

on the wings of Angels.
