Joy is not in things,
it is in us.
It is not in bank accounts,
or driveways,
or jewelry boxes,
or gadgetry,
or mansions,
or notoriety.
It is in family,
in laughter,
in memories,
in hugs,
in held hands,
in conversations,
in quiet coexistence,
in love,
in us.
