There are so many instances that I would like to simply cross my arms, blink, and have a different outcome to a situation.
Oh . . . I Dream of Jeannie!!!
I'd like to blink and have so many bad things undone.
I'd like to blink and have so many hurts taken away.
I'd like to blink and save so many friends from pain and suffering.
I'd like to blink and keep folks from harm.
I'd like to blink and stop the devastation.
I'd like to blink and make the aches and questions disappear.
But . . .
Then we'd all be the same.
There'd be no growth, no wonder, no strength, no resilience, no tenacity.
I abhor adversity, but it truly defines us as humans.
We all have within us the capacity to overcome absolutely whatever that comes our way.

Cross your arms.
Blink.
And know that YOU can do ANY thing!
Make that blink a prayer asking for truth, strength, peace and joy and be amazed. "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you." (James 4:8) As believers In Him, we can press through the hurts and adversities.

PRAY and BELIEVE!!!
"If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you....." (John 15:7 - 12)
"You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock." (Isaiah 26: 3 - 4)
ReplyDeleteAs you blink, focus on God (Jesus). Trust Him. He is our Hope and fills us with Peace.
"The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength....but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." (Isaiah 40: 28 - 31)
