NOW

I have a terrible tendency to volunteer a bit too much. My family has told me for years that I need to learn to say, "N . . . O . . . !"  I tell them that when I begin to do so, the person doing the asking usually just follows that up with a "W!"

William Penn expressed the theory of "NOW" quite eloquently in this little tidbit.

I expect to pass through life but once.
If therefore, there be any kindness I can show,
or any good thing I can do to any fellow being,
let me do it now,
and not defer or neglect it,
as I shall not pass this way again.

And that, I believe, should be followed IMMEDIATELY by John Wooden's

It is amazing how much can be accomplished
if no one cares who gets the credit.
